Our Work
Through a continuing contractual agreement with Texas AgriLife Extension Service, the TAMP office is physically located in the Kleberg building on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The Executive Director of the Association is Dr. Davey Griffin, Professor and Extension Meat Science Specialist, Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
Goals and Objectives of TAMP
- Promote the general welfare of the meat industry and to facilitate the interchange of information between members
- Further the use of fresh and frozen meat and meat products
- Promote processed meat products through education and research
ANNUAL TAMP CONVENTION
TAMP's annual meeting is held once a year in the summer, generally held the first or second weekend in August. In 2024, the convention will be held in College Station, TX June 27-June 29th.
