Our Work

Through a continuing contractual agreement with Texas AgriLife Extension Service, the TAMP office is physically located in the Kleberg building on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The Executive Director of the Association is Dr. Davey Griffin, Professor and Extension Meat Science Specialist, Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

Goals and Objectives of TAMP

  • Promote the general welfare of the meat industry and to facilitate the interchange of information between members
  • Further the use of fresh and frozen meat and meat products
  • Promote processed meat products through education and research

ANNUAL TAMP CONVENTION

TAMP's annual meeting is held once a year in the summer, generally held the first or second weekend in August

The 2025 convention will be held June 26-28 in Fort Worth, TX in conjunction with the OTMPA (Oklahoma Texas Meat Processing Association). Details will be live soon by clicking the Annual Convention link at the top of the page!
